As a practitioner, I see so much growth in the students who participate in this Institute.
The program yields remarkable results.  The students learn context, substance, attitude
and study skills.  In the spirit of the late Charles Hamilton Houston, CHH students are
also encouraged to give something meaningful back to their communities.

Kim Keenan, Esq.
President, National Bar Association (2004-2005)

This program is an intense, passionate and demanding seven week preparatory institute
that inspires its students to attain high levels of achievement and excellence consistent
with Houstonian jurisprudence.  It is significant that its objective is to prepare our
students for the rigors of law school while keeping alive the memory of the late
Charles Hamilton Houston.

Professor Charles Ogletree
Jesse Climenko Professor of Law
Harvard University Law School

Attending the CHH Institute was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  It helped me
decide that studying law was one of the most interesting and stimulating endeavors I could
ever experience.  The Instructors at CHH were so engaged in teaching about their subject
areas, that I became engaged.  Additionally, the students within CHH were excited and
collaborative.  We all worked together helping each other to do our best.  After CHH, I had
the skills and the desire to attend law school.

Thanks to the Charles Hamilton Houston Law School Preparatory Institute (CHH) I was able

to gain invaluable experience in preparing for law school.  The courses, moot court             experience, legal research and legal writing not only helped me to become more confident,
but allowed me to maintain positive study habits.  (CHH) is just what the doctor ordered, excuse me what the "lawyer" ordered.  Hard work, dedication and the (CHH) program is the recipe for a successful law school career.  Thank you CHH, I am on the Dean's List.

I recently completed my first year at Howard University School of Law with great success.  I ranked in the top 5% of my class and I know that part of my success is a result of my participation in CHH.  When I began law school, I was very confident in my abilities to tackle the many cases assigned for me to read and I knew the hard work it would take for me to succeed. The CHH program provided me with just what I needed to enter law school as prepared as possible.  The classes covered in CHH (Torts, Civil Procedure, Contracts, and Legal Research and Writing) were also classes that I performed very well in at Howard.  This summer I am working as a law clerk at a small Maryland law firm. I am sure there will be many more exciting opportunities in my future as well.
